Hi,

I need to replace a crash bung bolt, seems simple buy one from R&G however. On arrival they are the currect length but the thread is wrong.

Seems at some point my mount must have been helicoiled or similar.

My uncle managed to get me the correct bolts last time but so far he's not sorted one for me yet.

What do I need to post up here for you to be able to tell me what to order?

Photo with the bolt next to a rule?

Does it bolt into an engine mount?

Pics of the bolt next to a ruler and measure the diameter would help Thumbs Up

EDIT:- R&G sent me the wrong bolts last year, I needed fine pitch they sent standard. A phone call later and a new set arrived the next day for no extra ponds.

Wot he sed. /\

Be careful.
I believe the bolts R&G supply are 'designed' to fail (just before) they rip the lungs out of your engine.

The theory is they should break off before expensive engine damage.

Probably some other cnut has put the wrong bolts in and a drop has ripped the tread out. Smile

It is indeed an engine mount one, bolts that came from R&G both with the bungs and replacements don't fit so I can't really blame them.

I'll get a pic tonight.

Bike just looks daft with one bung lol.
