I see some firm has recreated the Spectrum
Well, a rubber spectrum like keyboard with bluetooth so your phone does all the processing and
you're not limited to the speccys 16/48K on a Z80 @3.5Mhz.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-33379468

We couldn't afford Spectrums we had an Oric
although we did have a Z81 some years later

When I were a lad It were all manual input round here
I remember all that typing in and if you missed one feckin comma
or space you'd get nowt and have to check it all over again

Ahh! I love a good nostalge

It's a pity they didn't do a decent computer like the C64.

They did, but they emulated the C64 disk drive drive as well, and 6 months later it is still trying to load.

All the best

So this is different to the Spectrum Vega that was pimping itself out for crowd funding a while back? Vega was an odd looking thing with most of the Spectrum keyboard missing.

This new one seems like a great way to waste money when emulators are free.

I have a C64 DTV which is basically a C64 on a chip built into a joystick. You can even mod it to add disk drives and a keyboard if you're that way inclined.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
