Larger bar grips

Im finding these days that riding for any sustained period i get pain in my right hand as if the grip could be bugger to releave the pain. Does anyone have larger grips? I hate the foam ones so am looking for a different solution.

I've only ever seen the cramp buster used for sustained throttle opening like driving down a motorway (my bike has cruise control for this). I'm not sure how you would use that to give you big throttle openings. Its hard to describe the pain, it's a kind of discomfort more than a cramp which takes over the muscle and pulls your hand in.

Give than one of the largest motorcycles out there (R1200GS) is generally ridden by people over 6 foot without reports of hand pain, I'd suspect you're leaning on it too hard, or gripping too hard.

At all times you should be able to ride your bike using an index finger and thumb on both sides. That's an idea of how little muscular involvement is used to ride a bike normally.

Perhaps you are counter steering too hard? Fighting the bars when they turn?

I got this on my CB1000R and I get it on my Diavel with no weight on my hands. I normally have the throttle resting in my palm and use the grip between my index and thumb to allow me to turn it but when you need bigger more agressive throttle you need more grip. After 19 years i know hiw to use a throttle but i get pain in my hsnd.. Im guessing years of riding a bike may have something to do with that. Once the pain starts i get it even with the relaxed grip. The only thing to releave it is to get off for a while and relax my hand.

Something went wrong I was trying to quote Mudsharks post about the ODI grips,
I have bought crampbusters before for my now Ex wife (the crampbuster wasn't the problem) it's a tool the relieving wrist strain during long journeys. I'm looking for something to easy my grip during all riding including faster stuff in the highlands and similar. I wouldn't dream of using a cramp buster for everyday throttle operation.

I find when I have the pain trying to hold the throttle more completley (can't think how else to describe this) it makes the pain worse. I dont need to try and hold it tight just wrap my hand round the grip more.

Interesting idea buying heated grips.
I've always hated the wires hanging off them, I think it spoils the look of a bike.

for me, extra squishy grips (grip puppies) made my pain worse.

Grips made of sticky and pliant rubber help. I like progrips, oxford touring heated grips way better than r&g ones which are almost solid yet wear like crazy.

I'm fine in summer and midseason gloves, my category 2 winter gloves really hurt after a while, as I have to squeeze harder to have grip of the throttle. I think I shall man up and get used to muffs this winter.

I was gripping too hard though, and leaning hard on the bars. Now I hold them really lightly, i hurt less and the bike handles better.
