So, me and the ex bird split up about a month ago. Not really spoke to her since, started seeing another bird since then.
T'other day, she left some shoes outside my front door, which i'd forgotten i'd left at hers. Reminded me that i'd lent her my slowcooker, a blender, and a load of room painting shit.
So, I text her, thanking her for the trainers, and asking for my shit back (I did this polity) And she told me no, that she was going to consider them a parting gift. I obviously said no to this, give me my shit, and she told me to fuck off.

Now, she also owes me about £350, not a great deal, and something i was going to forget about, however, she's pissed me off.

So, BCF, is it worth going for a CCJ against her to get my money back? Anyone have any experience with this?

lol

No, move on with your life.

She'll probably hate you more for not rising to the bait. Imagine the internal rage when she sees you with him, happily walking down the high street with a smile on your face.

Don't bother with CCJ

But to get back at her, a good letter before action, then paying £25 or so to do a small claims court may be a fun way to stress her.

Worth it never to hear from her again?

Absolutely not.

Surely no right-minded person would even consider this?

Karma will get you if you do this. And rightly so.

Forget it. Move on and be glad you had no pets/kids/future together.

It all depends how chilled you are vs how bitter you are etc.

if you want to get your stuff back... letter before action and pay the £25 to get what does belong to you back.

if you just want to draw a line under it, forget about it.

Not unless you want to start a feud and if you start a feud with a woman, you are going to be regarded as a bully. You can't win. Walk away.

Even if you win in The County Court, you're not guaranteed a payout as she may plead povertiness.
Considering the relatively small amount involved, I reckon that you should draw a line under it and move on. Anything else may cause you unnecessary stress.

Buy a really nice blender and drive back and forth past her window whilst waving it about. That'll learn her.

Just forget about it and get on with your life. Not worth the hassle.

The fact that you forgot about the stuff says a lot about how much you actually need it back.

The reasons behind this would assist with responses.

If you was fucking another woman behind her back then lol, leave it be.

If she was doing another guy, go shit through her letter box, post loads of bits of paper so she picks it all up in one and be done with it.

We first split about 2 years ago, she moved out, and into a house about 5 minutes walk away from mine. Fucked about for 6 or so months, she then started bumping uglies with a married bloke, for about a year. We stayed friends, mostly because I still had feelings for her, hoped things would work out eventually, ect ect.

After a while of not getting any, met a girl though pof, met up a few times, all the while telling the ex about it all, cos we were mates and all that. The ex then says that the married guy has sacked her off, she then decides that she loves me again, wants to make another go of things, even though im seeing pof girl. this was about 2 months ago.

This is where I made the mistake of saying we'll try again.

It lasted for about 3 weeks, before it all came crashing down (again) and things turned ugly. While I was with the ex, I wasn't with the pof girl, just fyi. I'm not a double dipper.

So, yeah, no one was shagging anyone they shouldn't have been. Except for when she was getting porked by the married guy.

So, yeah. Like I said, I wasn't really that bothered about the money, and I'm not to bothered about the other stuff, really. It's the way she was about it. It was only annoying me at the time, now i've slept on it, and with the new gf, it doesn't seem like a big deal.

Also, I did tell the new gf about this, and she was properly pissed off, gave me the idea to look at small claims court in the first place.

Meh, I think i'll just let sleeping dogs lie. The less I need to think about her, the better.

I repeat. Leave it. Move on. Ever heard a phrase regarding good money and bad, or quiting while you're ahead?
Or even sleeping dogs?

Mate I think all the lawyers, judges, solicitors etc. are rich enough don't you. Just walk away.

She thinks keeping the blender or whatever it is a victory over you. Reacting in anyway confirms that to her.
