Guy Martin got off lightly this weekend.

Even the Beeb are just as sketchy on details.

The reason they are sketchy is because this should not be posted! The name is to be released by organisers once close family are informed not before, please have respect and delete this

I removed the other details earlier at your request but now that his name has been officially released I would like to point out in my defence that if you had a problem maybe you should take it up with Dundrod and district who should have made a point of withholding the race results, or maybe the paper which reported on the accident and published some 4 hours before I posted or even Facebook where people were leaving condolences on his racing page some 6 hours previously.
I am sorry if I caused any offence to you or anyone else.
RIP Andy

I also seen it posted on facebook and twitter and pointed it out there as well wasn't having a go, but in a red flag situation nothing is supposed to come out on social media etc before all family and friends have been told for obvious reasons and the organizers have announced it. The papers publishing it for a quick story and the people I seen yesterday posing in front of crash site sickens me. I seen the whole thing and helped drag bike out of the trees, dark day for the sport after some fantastic races before and after

RIP
Andrew.

In these things the causes are sometimes not easy to determine and sometimes never reported or discussed again.

Simon Andrews died in the 2014 NW200 when he fell off his bike and hit a kerb.
I still don't know what caused him to be thrown off the bike.
The accident happened on a very straight and wide downhill section waaaay before the roundabout/corner with no other riders near him.

Did his rear tyre fail?
Engine Seize?
???

Andrews was a tankslapper that hit kerb was it not?
This was purely a racing incident organizers police know exactly what happened here

A tank slapper when flat out or decelerating for the bend?
I only noticed tank slappers when accelerating. Not now as my bike is dampened. Although i don't do much track so I could easily be talking shite. Smile

In Andrews' accident I saw the bike on the left of the road and he slid down the right, his hands were down by his side as if he was unconscious already, then he collided with the kerb on the corner of a side street. That launched into the air by the impact of the kerb.
Horrific.
A lot of cunts making jokes about it on here mind. Rolling Eyes

Bit of a drama queen are you not. The guy posted a link on the internet and reposted a link just the same way as new is traveled across the world. I think it would be safe to say his family knew before you read this post. It was Ireland not up a hill in outer Mongolia.

Hardly a drama queen, when there is a fatality it's always been the case that the organisers should be first to announce who. rumours spreading about this kinda thing is a bad idea
