Brake disc.

I have been looking through various online sites and i am getting confused. (doesn't take much) There is a nice rear disc by EBC which is around the seventy pound mark,or there is this.

EBC is a known brand, that funny looking thing is not. The problem with cheap chinese discs is that they tend to warp very quickly.

That said, it's just the rear brake disc and it is only £40. Bigger risks have been taken.

EDIT: Looks to be the same as this, in which case I would expect it to be among the most Chinese in quality you can find:

Thank you for the reply,i am tending to go with the EBC ,as you say its a known brand even if it is a little more expensive !

I think the Chinese monkey metal one's come with a lifetime guarantee - if they turn out to be crap, you die.

Seriously though, brake components are something I wouldn't skimp on - stick with a trusted brand name.

After recently forking out the best part of 400 on new discs and pads all round, I will say, do this too.

EBC have standards to work to which should give some guarantee of quality.

Chinese stuff, could be brilliant, but there'll be no traceability or come back if they fail, but at that price, they're disposable.

Well i ended up with EBC rear disc and for both sets of pads and i have no complaints ..thanks for the advice chaps

When they fail it is often not warping, but cracks rising from drilled holes and slots. Ive got an OE honda rear disc in the scrap bin with cracks starting from most of the holes Shocked
