Sinnis or Keeway?

My mrs dad is looking to buy a bike

he cant decide between a "Sinnis Cruisestar 125" or a "Keeway Superlight 125 STD"

now i have tried to tell him about chinese/ taiwanese shite an that buying a spanking new 125 is a poor decision, but he is having none of it

so, any ideas which is best between em?

i would rather have my very broken Bandit than either especially the one called an "STD"

Based on my understanding of what reputation the two brands have I'd chose Sinnis over Keeway. That being said Sinnis parts can only be gotten hold of through a dealership or if you phone them directly you have to answer quite a few questions to actually get through to someone their website doesn't allow you to order them so it's fleebay or likewise to try and find something on the cheap.

Have you shown him the Lexmoto Vixen, would be about £850 for the bike unregistered and £920-£1000 OTR dependent on what dealerships charge, also some offer longer warranty's than others, buy from an actual dealer and not learner legal if you do chose that bike despite the fact they offer one for £700 something brand new, they leave all the registration to you and ends up getting costly and a pain chasing them for parts.

Lexmoto have next day delivery with stock available to order from CMPO, ebay etc all brand new and at cheap as chips prices in comparison to what other bikes may cost to maintain.

300,1000,2000,4000KM are the first four compulsory services done by you or not with the first one being a tightening of the nuts and dumping the oil mainly, easy naked to work on bike and cheap to maintain.

The Sinnis Cruisestar is still the same original model by the look of it, so won't have the updated sinnis frame of the retro/cafe/scrambler, and may have electrics under the tank which could get wet. Haven't seen a 2015 Cruisestar in the flesh to say for certain. Newer models have electrics tucked behind panels and inside the headlight.

I would still consider one if I wanted a 125 cruiser (urgh no!), but as NJD suggested I would certainly tell him to check out the Vixen. They seem to be the undisputed champions of the cheap 125 cruisers.

The Keeway is a better built bike. We took them on to replace the AJS DD125's at my previous workplace due to significantly better build quality. They either last forever or blow up whilst still under warranty & Keeway offer a reasonably fast turnaround...
