I checked it and it's rather cheap. Around 430 pounds or so. My mate says that it might have a great zoom, but the close range stuff would look rather mediocre.

Yes, I checked the price before posting, was surprised that it cost much less than I expected.

Even if it is not great across the entire range, for the apparent quality of the higher zoom range that is where I see it as being 'worth it'.

The means to keep it all 'steady' and could be a fun camera for the usually out of reach stuff.

Glad you posted this, my interest is again piqued in longer range photography, (as far as that level of affordability gives) worth investigating because it is within my budget.
