Dunno, doesn't one of the Is stand for "Islamic"?

I don't give two shits about the theology of it but they do make a claim to representing a religion that may not be true of the IRA. So apples, meet oranges. Rolling Eyes

The IRA have never claimed to represent a religion AFAIK, just because they are mostly Catholics doesn't mean they fight for all Catholics. I'd bet there are plenty of non Catholics, that counted themselves as Sinn Fein/IRA/PIRA, for the general hatred of the Brits/Unified Ireland/whatever.

You could easily find some examples of various Armies, doing similar BTW. I wonder how many 82 year olds have been collateral damaged over the years...

Islam = Religion
ISIS = Terrorist organisation

Just because they use Islam as some kind of justification of their actions, it is still quite a stretch to say "Islam beheaded somebody"

Back to the argument, which is worse -

60000 dead in a few seconds in Hiroshima including all ages, etc.etc.

1 82 year old targeted just because he isn't a certain religion.

There was that young girl stoned to death for falling in love with the 'wrong person' and people videoed it on their phones.

When it's so personal it seems a lot more horrific.

All religions have been guilty of pretty horrible thinks over the years. At present it is Islams turn to try and be the most disgusting and they are doing a pretty good job.

Dress it up how you want, if there wasn't Islam, you wouldn't have Isis. You can't pick and chose which bits of a religion you want unless you can do something about the bits you don't want. I'm sure Isis would say they are true Islam.

Same can be said about ALL religions.

There are active terrorist organisations acting on behalf of all the religions, even attacks from Christian terrorist groups as recent as 2014.

If there wasn't Islam, you would have ISIS. Just under a different name, fighting for a different true cause.

Which is why I'm not religious and why I believe religion shouldn't have that status that means you can't criticise. That's any religion but at present if you complain about Islam you are guilty of Islamophobia according to the PC brigade, an irrational fear of Islam. Rolling Eyes Well sorry but there is nothing irrational about my present dislike of it thank you very much.

The more extremists that kill each other (in somewhere other than the UK) the happier I am. Thumbs Up

ISIS = terrorist organisation with strong religious motivations (they themselves claim this is Islam).

I do not have the slightest interest in filtering through all of the various religious sects and deciding whether or not they truly belong under the umbrella of that religion. So if someone runs around waving a Quran, claming that Allah made them do it, there is a good chance I am taking it at face value that Islam motivated their actions.
