i need a job

I'm very bored at work and need a new job. Don't know what I'd want to do. My current job is apparently an analyst, but all I do is recommend that people stop being so stupid and teach others members of my team how to use excel.

just looking for ideas to brainstorm really for now. A few things that I've thought about include BI and data science. I'm sure there are more things out there. I need someone else to give me some ideas of inspiration that I can run with.

programming is average. Mostly statistical or analysis based, so know my data structures and basic algorithms. No real front end type stuff apart from throwing a few prototype applications together in MS Access.

I fell into procurement (aerospace manufacturing company) by chance, and quite enjoy it.

Helps that the company give me enough autonomy to get what I want done, essentially job consists of pointing out to internal customers they don't really know what they want (then try to find what they do want) then making sure the framework is there with the Suppliers to make stuff happen.

And buy it cheaper, whatever it happens to be...

Yes, I'm quite bored at what is do now and I don't really see it going anywhere.

Because I did so badly at school, I find it hard to get round the first round of questions to get me to interviews in any job where you need an ounce of intelligence. I also am terrible at interviews because I really don't sell myself - got a bad case of imposter syndrome.

How did you fall into aerospace procurment? What kind of qualifications do you have? What kind of experience do you have?

One of the great advantages a programmer has at interviews is you can take stuff you've written and show them. Even pretty mediocre stuff you've actually done is worth more then a bucketfull of bullshit about what you claim you can do. With a bit of luck you can also take control of the whole interview process and avoid going through all the stupid fasionable drivel they chuck at you.
