I am relatively new to riding and am finding my visor fogging frequently and after some research found that pinlocks are a good solution.

The issue is that I have an Rocc 550 helmet and cannot find anything that shows as compatible.

Does anyone have one or know where to get a pin lock visor?

Alternatively is there anywhere that will fit one to my existing visor around the Gloucestershire area?

Plenty of DIY universal pin locks around.

If you cant find a pinlock to fit the visor, why not use anti-mist spray.
I use bob heath anti-mist on mine but that's because I picked it up for £2.50. I'm sure there are loads of alternatives.

If you don't want to go drilling holes in your visor, then you can try a stick-on insert. Have a look on eBay for "fog city".

I tried one of those, as well as the Bob Heath anti fog spray, before eventually going for a pinlock insert.

The Fog city insert did work initially but, before too long the moisture started to creep in around the edges more and more as the weeks went by. Eventually, the insert lost its ability to stick to the visor because of this and ended up in the bin.

The anti fog spray also works but, I found it a bit of a nuisance because it only lasts a couple of rides before you have to re-apply it. No such a big deal in itself but, you really have to clean the residue off from the previous application first, because if you just spray over the previous one, it ends up like you're riding wearing someone elses spectacles, which isn't very comforting.

So, if you can, I would certainly recommend a Pinlock insert way above the other two. I've been using them for a couple of years now and would consider the other two products I mentioned as a waste of money by comparison.

There is a few stuffs on the market but they only have a very temporary effect. May work on the way to work but not on the way home.
A bit of a phaph to apply and as you have to do it regularly it becomes a fcukin' chore.
Rainex is one. I've used it on cars and even bought the 'screen-wash' to try.
Both products are similar to Snake Oil.

As Rogerborg suggested a Fog City is bullet proof. It will last as long as the visor. My visors only last about a year before the micro-scratches annoy me and I change it. Smile
Pinlock are a Dutch outfit and are very helpfull if you email them.

Well mine certainly wasn't bullet proof (see above).

Maybe, or probably, Manx weather is damper than where you live but, mine lasted around two months before it eventually fell off. Sad

Sorry you posted about 0.0003 of a second before me. Sad

I have used fog city and the only issue I have noticed is that the 'react-to-light' insert doesn't darken much and eventually loses it's effectiveness.
Another flaw was a visor that was scratched on the outside meant my recently fitted fog city had to be binned too. The adhesive is a one-time compound.
That's why Pin-Lock has put Fog City more or less to the back shelves as it can be swapped from one visor to another (of the same shape).

But if applied 'properly' fog city does what it's designed to do.

im a pinlock fanboy.
i dont think i would buy a helmet without the fittings.
ive used the sprays(not on bikes)while playing paintball,and they work short term.
not used the fog city so cant comment on em.

Well, if we're anecdoting. I used a Fog City on my first visor. Having cleaned it thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, it stuck on a treat and worked well for 2 winters.

For some really good reason that escapes me now, I then peeled it off and the next winter replaced it with a non-Fog City branded equivalent.

Visor equally cleaned, the sod never sealed properly, sad times were had. Pinlock or GTFO out from now on.

If Pinlock isn't an option then I'd suggest Fog City branded and a super-clean visor.

Try the Raleri Fogstop inserts. Very similar to Pinlock, but they're self adhesive and just stick in.
