I got a new debit card today and I am unsure if I need to update my details with work or insurance etc..

The only thing that has changed is the long number and the digits on the rear.

Sorted it, Insurance I wasn't sure, set it up as direct debt so it is fine.
Its the first time I'v had a card renewal so not 100%.

Oh. Wasn't aware of how different companies accepted or took money as with mcέ they just took the money out upon verbal agreement at the time of taking insurance out and did need my card details when I got a new one, was monthly also.

On a related topic I do hope I never have to buy a monthly policy again. Seems nothing but punishment and higher charges for not wanting to donate a high fee for a legal requirement all in one go. Bxstards.

MCE use monthly card payment or what's known as a CPA (Continuous Payment Authority).

Basically they charge your card at a pre determined time each month. They use CPA because unlike Direct Debits, you generally can't log into your online banking and cancel them, and many banks are reluctant to do so. Even though they have to, legally.

MCE, they would. DD offers far more control than card payments, do please be aware.

I've finished payments thankfully so only have the lovely renewal to look forward to. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Just that you'll save loads of money. Insurance companies charge ~30% APR.
