Module 2 Pass.

So after this cock up today was the day of my second attempt at the Module 2.

After the examiner agreed that the instructor could follow us on the test we set out after the questions and headed to my benefit on the same route that I took during my first attempt. So, basically my Module 2 was nothing more than doing exactly what I did the first time without going through a no entry sign and wrong exit on the roundabout.

Back to the test center. I parked up and got off instructor gave me a thumbs up as he rode past and then waited to be called in and I passed. Ended up with four minors as in my first test but meh everyone's human.

Back at the training location and phoned up MCE to add the full license on to the policy. "Let me just talk to my manager, one moment sir" was the response after I told them I wanted to change a couple of things beside the license "£2 something" (she didn't say something, that's just an example) as I bloody bit her arm of over the telephone to secure that change. I think this was better than passing the test.

And the living on pot noodles to upgrade bikes begins.

I was impatient... MBNA credit card, interest free cash advance... Took one of them out instead of a short loan... As long as at least minimum paid monthly it remains interest free up to 3 years...

Happy shopping... The sensible advice is to try as many as you can before deciding what you want, then wait for the right one at the right price... Or... Balls to that & just go and get the first bike you can and enjoy it...

That 125 will deffo be faster without the L's anyway

Well done - i wouldn't worry about what you get ... as long as you get something you fit on and like the feel of. As a new member of the 'drop your first bike club' anything shiny can wait a while.

If you buy right, a cheap first big bike should see you through winter and let you get some miles in ( cold and greasy is a good time to learn ) before the summer comes back next year and then you might want something bigger and better.

Dunno how old you are, CB500 for me (41) was 170 FC insured with no excess and unlimited mileage.
