There's one road near here they had released 100s and it feels like a snowplough on the front would be a good idea to bat the stupid things off the road.

Tried batting one a couple of years ago - out for a spin and put my arm out to tell folk behind me that I was about to pull in when a bird flew up and hit me in the hand. Nearly knocked my arm out of its socket!!!

Hit a woman on a push bike a few years back on a ZX6R. Didn't come off, she took the brunt of the force but caused £400 of damage to the nose cone.

Tiny brain is too small to contain a sense of self preservation. This happens to me all the time commuting through Pollock and Castlemilk, they just dive across the road without looking, wearing the mandatory knock-off-Kappa trackies and usually pushing a pram into the traffic.

Oh, pheasants.

One of the little sods took a door mirror off of my Ford Explorer a few years ago. Knowing that they cost £180 just for the parts I started rummaging around in the hedgerows trying to find the mirror. Ended up climbing through the hedge and nosing around in the field. Looked up straight down the barrel of a Heckler & Koch MP5, turned out the field was part of the Prime Ministers' Chequers Estate. Astonishingly R&DP heavily armed plod believed my story.

Oh, pheasants.

I just realised it didn't say peasants either.

"Where's your bike, peasants?" I usually shout at them walking along the pavement.
