And it increase the safety: they told me it makes you more visible!

Buy him a book about motorcycles instead, or just give him the money in an envelope, that says: Petrol money, honey. Razz

The best visibility one can get is a hi-viz vest, and even then other road users don't see the person.

Buying him one of those would likely end in divorce though.

If he thanks you for buying him a wind powered light to stick on the top of his helmet, he must love you because in reality he will be wondering where to hide it until you have forgotten you gave it to him.

A bacon sandwich and a certain act on your part I can assure you would be much more appreciated. Thumbs Up

Umm, reading this again he is a motorcyclist and not a pedal cyclist?

I hope he likes it.

A pair of Gloves would be handy Smile

https://www.bmw-motorrad-store.co.uk/bmw-pro-winter-glove.html

Or 'another' neck protector.

https://www.sierrabmwonline.com/product_info.php/bmw-neck-warmer-2015-cold-weather-gear-76238547-269-271-p-985?currency=USD

(I like BMW neck warmers and the winter gloves, that's all.)

Sorry for poo-poo-ing your plan.
Personally, I wouldn't stick anything on my safety hat. It would be conspicuous. Wind noise and possibly redundant as far as any 'safety' features go.

You could just write "COCK" on the back of his lid. Same effect, much cheaper and would show you made the effort to hand make his gift.

'sake, that's a bit harsh even for BCF.

I can point out three problems though.

1) 35 Euros. Shocked £3 buys you a pair of LED bicycle lights, sticky pads, and a hojillion batteries down Poundland.

2) Unless it's better sealed then it looks, it'll let water into the electrics.

3) It appears to be powered only by the dynamo. So it flashes faster as you go faster and stops when you're stopped. I don't know about you lot, but that's exactly the opposite of what I'd want for a 'don't potato me, bro' light.

I've found also this one!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HJC-Windlight-Black-Turbine-powered-LED-light-for-Helmet-/121740245795?hash=item1c5848bb23

It's wind-powered too and it's cheaper!
What about you?
