A few years back I purchased windows 7 pro and office 2010 for my daughter's laptop for uni under the student licensing deal. Now I need to re-install it due to a bad hdd but the media is in poor condition. It installs but seems like it has corrupt files because it won't run updates straight off a clean install, autorun is not working and if I try running setup off the win7 disc it gives an error.
Where can I get a copy of the media by download now that digitalriver has packed up doing it?

If you have the security codes then Microsoft will send you a download link. I did this with a copy of Office earlier in the year, I just went on the Microsoft website and chatted to their online help.

Not getting very far up to now. Support gave me a download link but when I select English language it says:
Unsupported Language Error
The language you've selected is not available for the product you are eligible for. Please select a different language.
Just waiting on help desk

Well , this is embarrassing.
Chris-red figured it out right away - you just have to wait. I figured that after 10-15 minutes it had something gone wrong because it hadn't yet compiled a list of updates. We left it rattling away then lo and behold 2 hrs 12 minutes later it listed 199 updates and away it went.
