Godverdomme
I have bashed dents out of car wheels before no problem.
But it is a risk.
Google for Bike Breakers Unless you have already tried that. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

It won't be easy to find a pair of wheels at reasonable cost. There are
some on eBay, but the cost is hundreds of € per wheel and delivery may
take some time.
If your friend has insurance for accidental damage to his own bike,
he should probably contact the Honda dealer in Inverness to see
if he can get new wheels. With a bit of luck, they might be able to
source a pair from a breaker. Perhaps he could hire a bike for a few
days while he is waiting for the new wheels. ____________________ Bandit 650SA, ZZ-R1100 |

I'd be tempted to attempt to bash that out carefully and then fit a tube. With care it'd get you out of trouble. |

call me cynical, but.....
stuck somewhere, buckled wheels from hitting a rock so far off the road you'd have to aim at it, deliberately, and damage BOTH wheels??
so, what you do is sign up to BCF to ask, rather than googling local garages etc, or the nearest dealership.
then you actually take the time to add a sig to your profile? because that feels like the most important thing to do with your time.....
or am I just grumpy today?
if it's just me, then Meh. i'll go back to bed. ____________________ Past - 1988 honda revere 600, 1996 kawasaki gpz500s, 1999 Yamaha R6

Oi.
A few simple explanations.
Scenario 01: Johnny Foreigner is so enraptured by the Stunning Scenery around that part of the Highlands of Scotland he has a 'Senior Moment' when he met a car on a 'single-track' road between passing places (No Parking) and inadvertently blooters the partially hidden Corner Stone of Ben Nevis. (At 4409' the highest peak on mainland UK)
Scenario 02: They are highly educated Dutcheners and as such can appreciate the finer things in life. Obviously that would mean a visit to one of Scotland's Famously Wonderful Uisge-Beatha factories. Having done so they may have over-sampled some very well aged but free Single Malts (Remember they are Dutch and are Tighter than a Yorkshire man.)
The narrow profiles of the Scottish Back Roads got the better of the poor sod's balance centres and he blootered the Corner Stone of Ben Nevis.
Scenario 03: They are Dutch and so have a bad habit of riding on the 'wrong' side of the road.
Whilst peering through the torrential but picturesque rain on the way to catch the ferry (following a bold escape plan) a Grumpy-Bastirt Scottish farmer, on the 'correct' side of the road, caught the Nederlander out.
Mr. Edam van Vander-Belter swerved onto the 'correct' side of the road but failed to notice the Corner Stone of Ben Nevis poking oot the ground and Blootered it.

Just heat the wheel and put it in a vice. Try this workshop 0.4 m from your hotel. https://goo.gl/maps/wqAHy
