Hi all - 48yr old fat bastard here. I got back onto 2 wheels a year or so ago albeit a Honda NSC50 moped but I love the little thing. With my orange Hi-Viz jacket on I look like a tangerine on two wheels!

I recently moved house so am now a bit further away from my work and have to travel on a couple of busier roads (before it was 30mph all the way) and feel I need a slight upgrade.

I'm looking at twist and go 125s but being a 'big boned' chap, are there any models that would suit me more? I'm 6"1' and 18 stone so before anyone suggests a shire horse, I'd appreciate your expert advice.

Exactly, bring your tools with you and don't be afraid to ask, if you could take the front sprocket cover off, for instance. It's easy and quick, and could save you some money.

It's a bit of an injoke. There is a user on here who mis-treated his Varadero quite badly. Eventually damaging the output shaft and having to weld the sprocket on.

This alone wouldn't raise an eye brow from myself as many people when we were young did this. But the negative perception of this person is from a combination of attitudes displayed on this forum.

If you're happy with your current scooter you could look at the vision 110? From what I understand the vision is the exact same bike as the nsc50 just with different styling and a bigger engine.

Orrrr if you want a bit of change the pcx125 always seems to get a good write up.

I'm far too lazy to change gears hence the current moped. I shall investigate the pcx.
