Charitably, it might be a smart way of managing traffic so that it didn't get swamped on day one has happened with the VED and license services when they went online.

I ask because none of the VRM sellers are even mentioning it, they're still wanting cheques made out to the DVLA. Right, I'll record a memo about that on my dictaphone and send it to the girls in the typing pool.

I used it to take a plate off a car onto retention. easy as abc. fill in the form and pay by card and it's done in minutes. New v5 came within 48 hrs too. but it says to retain the original mot as they no longer send one with the new no on it.

Cheers, chap, but that's taking a VRM off a vehicle. They implemented that first. I'm looking at putting one on, which they've only just got around to doing online.

I'll be doing that tomorrow hopefully. was hoping to just directly swap from one car to the other but the v5 for the new car didn't arrive in time.
