cbr 125rw-6 carb keeps flooding

bought my bike 4 days ago and had it stop twice on me sent it to garage to be looked at ,man said nothing wrong with it ,got it back took it for ride stopped on me could smell petrol,got to carb was flooding and dying the engine can anyone help

1) Post in the workshop section.

2) Your float is most likely sticking[*]. Unstick it. Give the carb a good clean while you're in there, they're prone to clogged idle jets.

If it's coming out of the overflow, providing the float is not sinking and the correct height, the usual suspect is a piece of grit stuck in the hole the float valve is trying to seal up, to stop the flow of petrol in the float chamber.

As above, strip bottom of carb and clean, making sire you remove the float valve. Also have a look at the float valve and cu it seats into. If there's a small line around it, it's work so not sealing u to stop fuel flow. You are better off replacing the valve and cup as a matched set. Aftermarket float valves have a habit of being slightly wrong and never seal up.
