Hi! I just got my license for mopeds and now I need a moped (obviously Laughing ). I need help. I'm 15y old and can't decide which to buy. I like bikes like this one. I want an automatic or semi-auto. It must not exceed 50ccm. Thanks in advance! Any recommendations welcome!

That's not a moped. Wink

What age is required for the next motorcycle licence category? I'd just wait, to be honest. Thumbs Up

Welcome to the forum Very Happy

Kymco is fine if you like it buy it. You may loose some money when selling it. But that is valid for all 50cc.

I can drive, with my current license, a motorcycle max 50ccm, so it doesn't matter what it looks like, it's all about the engine size Mr. Green
@RhynoCZ Next category is A1 (16 years), up to 125ccm
Thanks Val!

I've got the 125 kymco kpipe (until i'm 19 thanks to the fantastic licensing rules). It's a decent bike. The only problem with it, is that the gear box is a bit clunky sometimes because of it being semi-auto.

How long is it until you're 16? If you can ride a 125 at 16, like you mentioned, you might be better to wait. Obviously if you've just turned 15 and you really want a bike you'll better just getting a 50cc for now, but if you're only a month or two away from being able to ride the next size up, you may as well wait.

But it's up to you, that bikes pretty decent. All i will say however is there is quite a difference in a 50 and a 125.

So, buy a used 50cc whatever motorcycle, keep the rest of the money for your 16th birthday. Thumbs Up

Although a 125cc 4 stroke isn't something exciting either, it's more than twice as faster than a 50cc variant and is not top speed limited. Most of the 50cc motorcycles are limited to 45kph/30mph due to licensing in the most parts of the Europe.

See if you can find a simson S51. They were East German and fastasfuck. Might be some still kicking about from the communist era.

A ZXR250 or even a CBR250RR would be ''badass''. Razz
