Yeah, it'll be one of those three that finally makes Skynet. And yes, I'm aware several forms of this project already exist.

I'll most likely be dead by the time they're battling though.

What a load of hyperbolic bollocks. The internet will not die because of adblockers, and the Apple/Facebook/Google triumvirate does not constitute the web as a whole.

Advertisers will have to work a little harder to get their cut. Boo hoo.

The internet was fine before the likes of Google started making masses of money from web ads.

Just being greedy cunts.

There is a problem in that the Internet, like everything, is exploited.

The deal with that is not everyone is aware of it, knows how damaging it is/can be or knows what to do about it.

Skynet? Anyone know if they're hiring? Very Happy

The internet was the Smithsonian website and Bianca Troll's Smut Shack before web ads.

Ah, Cindy Crawford in a bikini loading line by line, you'll never know the thrill.

Agreed - the content we love to digest is [generally] paid for by the ads.

My heart really goes out to Google, Apple and Facebook... the richest and not far behind rich tech companies in the world. If all three of them disappeared tomorrow, I couldn't give less fucks.

Feel free, if you think you can keep up with me. Cornwall last week, Devon this, Suffolk next week, closely followed by London, then back to Devon and as for the cost of the short notice long haul flights you'll need, best of luck. Laughing

The ads on BCF are not that bad...
It's the sites that have 55% of the page filled with crap that no-one wants to buy.

They're fine and I have no problem viewing them. When I'm on a mobile, I even click them occasionally because hamfi$t.

It was more a followup thought to what happens to BCF and the other playpens if the Google money hose stops spurting.
