Right, bought a TZ400 from Dell an trying to set up rules to allow SMTP traffic

we have a security gateway (installed on the same server as exchange) which needs smtp traffic redirected to port 26, as Exchange is listening on 25

so 25 -> 26

tried to set this up my self following tutorials an its failed, started a support case with Sonicwall who have failed to do it

what gives man!?

got a nat policy thats says

original source - Any
Translated source - Original
Original destination - WAN IP
translated destination - Exchange
original service - port 25
translated service - port 26
inbound - X1
outbound - Any

going to "canyouseeme.org" it says 25 & 26 are blocked

Sad

I think this is done using a port forward rather than a firewall rule, but it's been a while since I've done this with a sonicwall.

In your example, you've not mentioned the firewall rule.. Is this also set to allow port 25 inbound to port 26 on your server?

You need NAT rules and firewall rules on a sonicwall to allow the routing to take place.
