Wasn't really sure where this would fit to be honest. Just had my new bike delivered, and with the turning circle it won't make our existing side gate (opens onto an alley between our house and next doors, a bit of an acute angle.)

I'm looking to get a double gate installed this weekend. Any recommendations with the bike in mind?

Thanks

One you can get it out of, and possibly in the same colour scheme/ decals as your bike so your neighbours know what it's for.

InB4 off topic - gates, bike gate, bike chat - tedious link that one!

how about a sliding one, then you don't need to worry about a bigger gate opening onto anything

Ehh, it was bike inspired. I don't feel committed to it either. And no not advertising contents either Razz

Anyway, just wondered if there were any more secure manufacturers or ideas you all might have used or be aware of before I grab something.

Nice idea on the DIY though, may be an option

Is there a gate there at the moment? I had a standard width side gate like grr666's first photo, but had to widen it by about a foot, basically just chopping the supporting fence back and making the single gate wider. I only have 1 inch between the mirrors and fence now but fine if you are reversing straight out.

Other option is some small box section and rivet on some galvanised steel, but you'd need to beef up your fence to support it. It does look nice and smart when painted though, not sure of the cost as my old man did it all for me
Dance!

Yeah, I've got a bog standard fence panel gate there at the moment with a concrete post thats going to need to be removed, then a half fence panel on top of the concrete raiser. All fitted before I bought the house, not ideal.
