Thought I'd better introduce myself, been lurking for a while. Passed my mod 2 today despite thinking i had failed for missing a 20 mph sign halfway through the test i somehow still managed to pass.

Much to my dissapointment the rumours where false and i didnt recieve a free fireblade when I passed so i have put a deposit on a GSR 600 which I'm picking up Saturday. This will be my first bike so plenty of learning still to do.

Can anybody point me in the direction of some good waterproof over trousers that actually work??

Have a look at sportsbikeshop.co.uk - I found these straight away https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/33286

Probably cheaper or better alternatives, have a look around as my textiles claimed to be waterproof yet it looks like I had an accident down below riding in the rain. Sad

Its totally different being out on the bike bike on your own. Enjoy it.
