Yes no problem, providing your bike has electricity in the range required.

What is your bike?

According to the specs this one needs:

Working voltage: 9-16V

You will be fine.

You need to ask the vendor, beause if that thing does not have small internal battery you will loose all your settings and trip data when you turn off the power. Which is no big deal.

I have a honda crm250 which is an import and the clock is in kilometers, and i have a chinese runaround that likes to tell me that im going 90mph when actually im only doing 60 Laughing

I Was thinking of using it on either. The shang hai special has a battery but the honda doesnt

As I've said you will be fine.

Still usable even without memory. It may have internal battery than all will be fine Very Happy

We put one on the lads 125 as we didn't trust the existing one
Don't get a wireless one though as pulses emitted by the igniton may drive them mad and show 60 mph at tick over.
