Hi all, was looking at the licence catagories amd noticed that the latest changes say that under the AM catagory we can drive a "light quad" upto 350kg and no more that 30mph. Now try as i might i cannot find any road legal quads that meet the requirments. Are there any or am i missing the point of the class entirely?

It's from Brussels, it doesn't have a point.

Note that the 350kg doesn't include batteries, so if there was any thought behind it, it's likely to pimp electric.

I know this will shatter your dreams, but wait till you're old enough to buy a proper motorcycle, or a car if that's what you desire. It'll save you/your parents crap loads of money + I guarantee you will enjoy a full sized motorcycle/car way more that the AM spec bikes/cars.

The Aixam cars cost a fortune, even used ones, and they are a lazy weed on the road. A used Peugeot 106 with 1.0 up to 1.4 (not sure if there was a 1.6), will be way more fun, for way less money. Check other hatchbacks, of course. A Pug is what I'd get really. Easy to work on, cheap spare parts.

AM (EURO specs):
(no B licence) Moped/scooter/motorcycle, up to 50cc (49), max. speed of 45kph.
(with B licence) Motorcycle up to 50cc (49), max. speed of 45kph. Moped/scooter up to 125cc, automatic gearbox only.

I have no intention of getting one of them car things. I have just passed my A2 and i have bikes. I was just curious.
