Please help me choose a bike

I like upright bikes which are fun to ride/commute 5'.6" (short)

Been riding my CBF125 and love the seat position/handle position (upright).

I live in London so as soon as I get out of the house its traffic! so clip-on handle bars make no sense to me. (pressure on neck and wrists)

I am 5'.6" tall but last week when I tried Z800 & Street Triple, I found that I could hardly touch the ground, suddenly I felt short

Yes I know you don't have to have both feet on the ground but when filtering and stopping near the lights, I have experienced gravel and tip toeing could lead to slipping and dropping the bike.

SV650 Suzuki: Bike was quite run down as I was training, but too heavy at the top, have to use clutch for smooth start but quite good fun.

Test ride CB650F: Amazing acceleration, engine sounds a bit odd, seat is a just a bit high but I can manage it. It is a bit too wide for filtering. Best bit is it starts really smooth, got low centre of gravity and can accelerate quite a bit without changing gears.

Test ride CB750S: Felt like riding my 125cc extremely easy to ride, seat position is prefect but it cuts out when pushing it! WTF! LAME!

Test ride: Z800: Way too high, steering handle was too low, too heavy, too powerful.. well AMAZINGLY powerful.

I am going to look at er6n, MT07..

I like low weight of CB750 and seat but need more power like a normal bike. any ideas welcome.

Its a bit risky to buy a uncomfortable bike and hope the lowering kit will make it all good.

I prefer to ride a bike I feel comfortable with and then get it.

I don't understand why most motorcycles are so high!

Custom seats are another option if you don't want to lower the bike.
