So...Stupidly, when I was still with my wife, we used to do webcam sex, for a bit of extra cash (paid council tax a few months running lol) and we were approached by Minnow films, to feature in a documentary...
I got persuaded by the ex to take part (silly me) and it was aired this monday on channel 4 (you might have seen it Shocked )
Anyway at no point in the documentary (badly edited as it is) does it mention who I work for..

Yesterday I was called into the office and suspended on full pay pending an investigation. They said it could bring the clients company name, and our company name into disrepute.
Not sure how if the company names aren't mentioned.

Anyway, am I screwed? I mean, I was planning on leaving anyway but in a couple of months not now lol

Oh and no, we weren't the masked ones lol

Shock horror, human beings fuck! Shocked That's why there's so many of us. Rolling Eyes
You should ask your HR department if by any chance they were all test tube babies? If not then guess what,
their mums and dads did the same. Blame the ex wife, say that she forced you into these things or she
said she'd cheat on you. Your unwillingness to participate being what forced the eventual split.

Linky for educational purposes. Wink
Will watch later
https://www.channel4.com/programmes/sex-diaries/on-demand/60441-001
TL;DR
Blame the ex.

Bet you wish you were though now, huh?

Do you have any union affiliated with the role? Tap into* that if so. Any friends/family with their head screwed* on, use them for any calls into HR etc - you should be entitled to have representation.

*pun intended.

Deny Everything, it sounds like they cannot prove your identity.

edit: Scrap that, sounds like your were stupid enough to put your mug on TV. Of course the Company are going to try and protect their public image.
Your face is now on TV and now therefore the internet forever.
It's almost a given that the company would of had a section in your contract dedicated to public relations and how not to bring the company image into disrepute.
Hope you got paid a decent sum for the release of the documentary.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Laughing

^^ What he said. Even if there was no mention of where you work, your employers are thinking that customers/members of the public who recognise you at work as that bloke off the sex documentary are going to run away in disgust. Remember, we are in Britain after all, and sex is dirty unless portrayed by professional actors in a highly censored fasion.

was it repeated on Wednesday night? Were you the the balding guy with the blonde woman? saw the first bit , maybe your bosses were embarrassed by your bedroom decor, bit bland mate if that was you, I was wondering what two people talking about having sex in front of a cameraman had to do with forced marriage then realised that my programme had finished while I was having a smoke outside. I seriously need to use my pause facility more.

1) Call the red top of your choice.

2) "Internet TV SEX film cost me my job.!!!111!"

3) ????

4) Profit.

Although suspended on full pay is a situation that, as far as I'm concerned, can continue for as long as it can be eeked out for.

To quote a mate of mine who was suspended on full pay for 3 months by the NHS folowing an unsubstantiated report by a member of the public of him ill treating the 17 stone, 6' 2", 40 year old Autistic guy he's the carer of. "So can ANYONE report me?".

Hang on, I'll stop laughing in a minute, long enough to click the link and have a look at your shagging style and/or alleged bad taste in decor.

Could be anybody, apparently we all have doppelgangers out there somewhere.

Technically, suspension does not imply guilt, it is used by employers to take you out of a situation they are investigating.

However, how they intend to investigate this one is open to question. Will it involve HR sitting in a darkened room watching the programme over & over again? Who knows.......chortle

The good news is that your employer is following a set procedure, so they will either unsuspend you with no action, or put you through a disciplinary procedure which will include an appeal.

So, here's the advice

Relax, you were going to leave anyway, get as much cash as you can from them.

Drag this out as long as you can (you're on full pay) so when they call you in delay and delay as long as you can. Use any excuse (I've pulled a muscle Laughing or tell them you are too stressed to go in).

Play the stress card, tell them you are being placed under intolerable pressure by their actions.

If necessary go through the whole process, including appeal maintaining your innocence of whatever they "charge" you with

Get legal representation

Choose the appropriate moment to threaten to go to the press as Stinkwheel suggests. You've got nothing to lose as your bedroom antics are now a national treasure.

Also, wouldn't it be great if at your hearing you present a PowerPoint presentation comprising numerous screenshots and narrative material from the documentary, just to see your accusers squirm.

I hope you appreciate my restraint in the number of double-entendres in the above Laughing Laughing

You may have trouble substantiating the claim of stress if you can get it up on camera though.

How the hell can you bring what has always been known as a disreputable profesion into disrepute? Laughing

For a long time every single small security firm around here was run by a criminal of one kind or another.

Just watched the documentary and am a bit puzzled as to how that episode could put any company into disrepute?

Nothing controvertial and something that happens every day/night of the week.

On the human aspect of things hopefully the seperation is not as raw and you have started to move on. My opinion is that the relationship wasn't to be for what ever reason and you will find what you want relationship wise sometime in the future.

This is a blip in your journey of life and wishing you all the best for the future. Life sucks sometimes but heyho move on and enjoy the rest of it. Smile

In fairness, given your job, I can see why they suspended you, now I've watched your segment (snigger). I was puzzled before because I have suspended people (accused of misconduct at work) only to make sure they couldn't influence the investigation. However your "misconduct" occurred outside of work so you can't influence the investigation.

But, they may think that people/the client, may recognise you from the TV show and impede your ability to do your job because you're getting teased or insulted.

That said, this was something you did outside of work, meaning the link is tenuous, so my previous advice doesn't change. It's got £££££ for you written all over it.

This has been an interesting conundrum, I don't get why anyone would want to turn such an intimate event into a public one.

I hope you're not getting a kick out of BCF watching your erstwhile bedroom antics!

Check your contract, I know mine says that I must make the company aware of anything I'm doing on the side to make money.
