If ever I needed any more evidence that biking fun doesn't have to come at a hundred miles an hour - a little holiday adventure recently just sealed the deal

Took a little trip to Kefalonia recently and found a scooter hire place

This is 'Sad Ken'

Called so on account of his number plate containing KEN and having a sad little face, and linking back to a popular sit-com from yesteryear (bonus points to those that can name it). Sad Ken is a Kymco Agility 125 scooter. Hardly a byword of motorcycling advancement.

Sad Ken was a plucky little soldier that gave us everything. Bugger knows how many miles across Kefalonia, an island known for its stunning volcanic mountain ranges containing massive elevation changing roads with double back hairpins. Right to the very top of the highest point.

And right up Mt Aenos (yes really, mount Anus) - over a thousand metres above sea-level.

It's true to say that a decent supermoto would have been epic through some of those roads but the grit and determination little Sad Ken showed really won me over to him. Two up, grounding the centre stand round a mountain pass was just many LOLS Laughing

Best part? £14 to hire for the day and did about a fiver in fuel Laughing

We were thinking about Kephalonia this year but settled for Mauritius in the end. Looks like a nice place for riding,
reminds me of Crete.
