I had a quick search for reviews and found there was a post on here from 2008 with someone saying how shit they were (and someone saying lots of people had posted about problems with them previously).

Anyway, I'm getting some bits and pieces together for the VFR and thought about putting a different exhaust on there.... this one to be exact:

Got a friend with the same one for his K3 GSXR 1000, I can only assume that the bike has had it for a while and it wasn't supplied with the original can. He didn't have any problems with it while he had it on.

Sounds beastly too.

I''ve got one on my fazer, sounds good and as they are local for me no postage costs and stuff to worry about. Had it on for 6 months or so and its still looking good

Since the bike cost <£700 almost 2 1/2 years ago (and in my hands should have died around 2 1/4 years ago)..... I decided to avoid the ~4k full race systems Alex Rolling Eyes

Anyway, since I haven't been laughed at (or karma raped (or banned)), I'll give them a go.


Karma has been dished out accordingly (even to CaNsA)

Two years on and looking good (road legal ovals). Stood up to a lowside on black iced roundabout fine.
Fitting instructions can be a bit vague srsly! Nuts and bolts supplied are crap rusty crap. A bit loud, fun at 1st, but becomes monotonously loud, even with the db killers refitted. But I am getting old. But I am getting deaf, too.
Twin pipe or single exit?

(excluding wallet), possibly for a few minutes, probably for many hours with that road rash, possible broken bone or 2, lying on the road for a few hours in screaming agony with your 2 broken legs..... but help is at hand when the paramedics turn up and hack through your expensive power ranger onesie in a couple of seconds etc etc etc


Anyway, I was unemployed for the last 3+ years, I shouldn't even have a bike, but after losing my job and buying a pile of scrap from a member on here.... I had 2 bikes eventually. I sold them and ended up with 1, Christmas 2014 I'd somehow managed to save around £700 and found a CBR600f listed for £650, the lowest offer the guy would take was £550 (after the auction).... the auction ended and he contacted me saying he'd take the £550 blah blah blah

So I've spent the grand total of £1,320 on bikes in the last 2 years, add insurance to that and it's around £1,600 in the last 2 years.....

So I'm a cheap fucker that doesn't see the point in spending more than I need to for what I want (even if it kills me in the long run).... fuck Akra, Termi, Yoshi, Mario, Sonic and whoever else

Dude, I totally didn't read what Alex typed like that at all. All i got from it is that it's a hella outlandish statement for a company to make when the majority of high end race bikes use one yoshi, akra etc. I definitely don't think he meant it at a slight against you....But then it's BCF so what the fuck do I know?

it seemed like a dig at why am I not buying one of the expensive brands.... but what do I know Razz

I'm not one for buying bike parts or gear etc.... until I can ride like the "big boys" then I'm not going to spend on the brand names (on a bike that costs less than some race calipers).... I was asking for an opinion on the quality of a cheap (shit 7 years ago), exhaust..... not what the expensive manufacturers would think if I bought a cheap exhaust. Rolling Eyes

Andy, you need to get that chip off your shoulder. There was no 'dig' at you whatsoever. You asked about Delkevic, I read their website. I found their marketing bulls*it statement amusing, and thought I'd post.

They are one of quite a few British exhaust manufacturers making fairly similar products (MTC/Blue Flame/SP etc). I've bought similar before and I'll buy similar again, precisely because they're good value, and it's rarely worth spending £££s on top shelf titanium/carbon stuff. But let's face it, they're not 'the leading manufacturers of race systems'. Far from it. Not that it matters one jot when you just want an affordable, well-built end can.

I found Delkevics to be offensively brash and harsh on the V4. I went with Remus in the end, happy camper.

I've seen a VFR in town with a slightly larger delkevic, sounded not bad. A lot Americans use the delkevic stuff and have no issues with it.

When you get it, cover a cloth in some ACF50 (I have loads if you want any) and wipe it all over, then start the bike, let the exhaust heat up fully and then leave it to cool down overnight. Should keep it looking shiny even in our amazing weather.
