For a long while now, I have wanted people to respect my authoritah!

I am hoping wearing one of these will see me some way to that, if only with those that don't read things properly ...

Has anyone got one? if so and did you notice other road users thinking you had authoritah?

More pointedly would anyone admit to having one?

I rated post as "Funny" because it cannot be anything other than a wind up.

I hope...

Smothered in Ceasers dressing would be ideal. Wink

When does 'Imitating a police officer' become an offence.

I don't see the point in it?

What does it actually achieve? Anybody behind you isn't your problem.

Come on peeps, someone must have one?

It is not like it is a silly idea. With your skid-lid and mirrored sunglasses on, it is not like anyone can recognise you anyway ...

Someone must, they have a rail full of them in my local Infinity. I saw some dickweed wearing one in traffic the other day. Amazingly he wasn't on a BM. I think it was a Doughville or something equally bland.

Apparently not when you're wearing one of those tabbards but you do get arrested for wearing this:

Which just goes to show the police really do have no fucking sense of humour whatsoever.

"Police" Civilian Support "Officers" get away with it all the time.

It can go the other way, I very nearly nodded to a couple of bike coppers today, because they were riding some chavvy blue crossers without being hi-vizzed out the wazoo. True story.

Which just goes to show the police really do have no fucking sense of humour whatsoever.

They also charged him with possession of offensive weapons, namely a baton and (fake) CS spray, had it laughed off by the Sheriffs and took it to appeal (where they lost again). I contributed to his defence because the case had significance for my hobby.

Thence followed 22 arrests for impersonation. Such determination to protect the pubic. Public.

And back to motoring, they eventually got him for fitting strobes to his nedmobile and pulling people over for shits and giggles. Pushed it just that wee bit too fnar.

Reminds me of the G20 Space Hijacker protest.
Quote:
Leah Borromeo, 30, a freelance journalist who was wearing a riot helmet and boiler suit rolled down to the waist to reveal a black bra, said: "If I'm guilty of anything it's of impersonating a stripper, not a police officer. "

Come on Borg, spill the beans. You've confessed that your secret hobby requires a hard truncheon, not a soft one. Might as well tell us the rest.
