Checked that the new bulb is the same wattage as the bulb on the front left? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

To explain the suspicion, it's because traditional flasher relays rely on a particular amount of current being drawn in order to control the flash rate. You'll often see cars / bikes flashing away like mad when a bulb has blown.
You can now get magical relays that don't care about the current, usually sold for use with LED bulbs but they'll work fine with incandescents too. You don't need that though, just get the bulb wattages right and you should be fine. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
