This is getting more and more attention these days.

Gender stereotyping, equality, societal roles, etc.

I saw this today.

Man the fuck up.

(In all seriousness, either choose to be a man or a woman. I'm not bothered either way, and you can crack you, just make a choice. If you can't make a choice you're probably a girl as they can never make up their mind. Thumbs Up )

I like seeing some of the stuff he comes out with. It's quite funny.

He's part of the extreme ultra liberal OTT moans-about-everything niche in society. He wants the EDL to die about as much as the EDL want Muslims to die, and he doesn't see the hypocrisy.

IMO it's the new popular kind of special snowflakeness brought over from the USA by SJW Inc.

To use a favoured liberal phrase "1st world problems"... If your life is so great that the greatest source of upset is someone "misgendering" you then you are doing better than 99.99% of us.

I saw a phrase that resonated well with me the other day:

Hard times lead to hard people. Hard people lead to good times. Good times lead to weak people. Weak people lead to hard times.

I think it sums up the cyclical nature of the world nicely. I think in lots of ways the western world is a victim of its own success. We are now soft and weak, our lives so comfortable that now we see a small slight as a life-threatening condition. We need to man the fuck up, but before that can occur we need to suffer first....

Well said.

The thing about this guy and his 'gender neutral' issue, is that the next natural step is to allow anyone to be called whatever they want. For example there are Otherkin who genuinely believe they're a non-human being in a human shell. They'll be the ones to start piping up about their own positive pronouns next.

Funny thing is, these are the sorts of people who tend to claim we're all created equal in the world, they hate racism, national stereotypes etc, yet at the same time they want more and more ways of labelling and identifying themselves, which is inherently divisive in itself!

I fully agree with that little mantra you put there, about the cyclic nature of things. I've always considered that civilisations repeat a cycle of hardship>> success>> growth>> prosperity>> hedonism>> complacency (therefore not enough people maintaining the system created by previous generations) >> demise>> repeat

So if we have idiots complaining about how much they hate being a physiologically designated member of a biological species with blatant male/female specifications, then yes we're probably somewhere near the end of that cycle.

FFS Tell it to extract its panties from its crack and get over itself.

I'm heartily sick of individuals asking me to moderate my behaviour because of their perceived issues. Examples from recent press.....

A girl in a bikini with a colostomy bag - to promote acceptance of colostomies. I didn't have a problem with them thanks.

A girl in a bikini with vitiligo - to promote acceptance of vitiligo which I don't have a problem with.

A topless woman with mastectomy scars - to promote acceptance of breaths cancer survivors which I don't.......etc

A woman with a beard - promoting acceptance of polycystic ovaries or something......etc etc

These people (women do seem to be over-represented) say they are offended by how others interact with them (and they're not talking about outright prejudice, neither am I).

Well.......news just in.....you can only be offended if you decide to be. Someone can only offend you if you consent to being offended.

So isn't the key for the offended change its own responses to "offenders" instead of trying to brow beat them into behaving differently?

I saw a funny new special snowflake term the other day: Demisexual

Apparently it means you are sexually attracted to people, once you develop an emotional bond with them. Well fuck me chaps, I do believe there was already a word for that..... normal.

Some people like to go around like a dog with two dicks. Other people like to get to people before shagging them. Both behaviours are well within the bounds of normal personality, just a matter of preference. You don't need an attention-seeking special snowflake term for a normal human behaviour..... Brick Wall Brick Wall

All this is what I would put under the broad banner of "faggotry". Note I don't mean this in a homophobic way, gay people who are just normal people are fine. If you feel the need to invent new adjectives to describe your behaviour: you're being a faggot. If you feel the need to whine every 2 seconds about how your constant stream of percieved oppression: you're being a faggot. etc

Don't get me started on that massive can of worms. The amount of sexual identity labels is stupid.

I remember a couple of years ago I was staying at a hostel in Edinburgh, mixed dorm. I'd just had a shower and walked back into the room topless. This Norwegian woman gets chatting to me, all about general amicable stuff, traveller things, reasons for being there, etc.

And then, in reference to me being a 'man just out of the shower with no top on', she she says, "Oh and don't worry, I'm androgynous."

Laughing Well alright then.

Google tells me it's someone who identifies as neither male or female.

No I didn't start referring to her as 'they' or 'it' Laughing Rolling Eyes

"Europe- Shit"
"black and jewish"
"Retarded"
"check it daily"
generally making out like being an arab is the worst thing in the world
better to be chinese than french or spanish

Is this some kind of epic banter edition? It looks different from the one in my folder.

I've been reading and laughing at all this bullshit online for about 3/4 years, and it mainly seemed to be limited to US college campuses. Increasingly though these days it appears to be infecting the real world and in the UK too.... Confused

I think it's in direct response to the original tumblrina edition.

On topic, I came across a new term the other day for this sort of nonsense... Kafkatrap/ping

It's when you use a broad-brush non-falsifiable statement to target someone, then when they deny the accusation, use their denial as further proof of the original statement.

Well as it can no longer really use names of a female or male gender I suppose anything that refers to "it" for example Watering can.

I would most likely call someone like that "fucktard" I imagine that this could be perceived as offensive though.

I suppose an "androgenous" name would suit. I do not believe that androgenous people are legit. You are male or female or a bit of both.
