all you guys say imports are bad news

so could you just check out the site https://www.bike-world.co.uk and look at their policies and stuff and look at the NSR's and tell me why its not a good idea, cos other than the clocks, i cant see the problem

my current clock on my SR50 is in KMH mainly, its has a smaller one for MPH underneath and i can live with that, after a while you adjust so you just ignore the KMH readout

Well, there's been quite a few posts lately that are saying that the imports can't do more than 85mph...this should more than suffice for most normal users though...I personally wouldn't trust a 17 year old with anything that fast Razz 8)

I dunno, go for it if you want...I guess that the £500-£800 difference will help with the insurance...

thats my main motivation, because give or take, it could mean the difference between 4 grand or 5 grand

plus you can always upgrade, and tune

what do the standard UK bikes push, tops, derestricted?

as long as there are no major defects, someone mentioned they fail British MOT's is this correct?

btw thanks tin, and also what part of herts are you in

take care

Parallels, and especially parallels through a dealer should be fine...but greys may run into some MOT problems, especially if you're naive and do it yourself...But I am preparing myself to be corrected...

ppl just don't like imports on here because its alot of trouble to de-restrict fully and like u say dnt normally go over 85. which still ant bad. Uk specs normally hit around a ton.
As for the clocks i think u were refering to another post about imports, the clocks thing is just a way of telling if its a import.
I think that u should go for the 3 grand NSR save u in the long run
