I searched a bit on the forum, and I found only this topic:
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=3676957
which is a bit old.
Since I'm relatively new to Glasgow I don't know any valid mechanic, can somebody suggest me someone to trust?

Thanks!

I haven't found any that I'd trust, although ECS in East Kilbride have yet to screw me over.

Bill the Biker on Alexandra Parade seems to get Thumbs Up but that's 2nd hand anecdotally.

Depends where abouts in Glasgow you are, but I've used Girders in Airdrie for my MOT and a couple of other things.

I'm on the other side of Glasgow, but I can do some extra mile for it. Girders won! Smile For now I'll use Bill the Biker, because I was forced to take a decision a bit quickly, so I can give some review after this.

Not yet, but I'll keep you posted. The bike comes from Italy tomorrow, so I'll probably say something next week.

Well, until today so far so good. My bike was put back in place, all seemed perfect.
But this morning the battery was dead, so I'm unsure whether he changed it and it is a faulty one, or if he charged me for a new one and just reload it. I'll bring him the bike to check this stuff and it would be hopefully free of charge.

So: the bike had a dud battery, the battery got changed (maybe), the bike now has a dud battery again?

You need to address the cause, not the symptom. Batteries do eventually die of old age, but it could also be an electrical short (aftermarket alarm / immobiliser?), not charging, or over-charging.

A £5 multimeter could save you a lot of time and money.

Used him once and and he didn't tighten the rear wheel. Found out on the fucking M8.
