I actually like that assuming it is non visible in daylight? I used to ride cycles without lights frequently in my youth, it wasn't until I started driving I realised what a colossal ass I had been.

Looks like a typical cyclist response to me.

"Why should I do anything, it's up to you to see me"

which is counter to the motorcyclist view of

"I need them to see me"

Reinforced by the "Likes to rant, doesn't like to allow comments on their blog page". Interesting attitude, well no not interesting just typical.

oh I dunno most fellow cyclists on the commute are decked out in fluro, retroflective and lights

It's OK, apparently it washes right off. £10 for 100ml vs £1-shop reflective bib. Rolling Eyes

Or... Take a brush to your bike, use some tape if you like.

Now, I have reflective bits on my jacket and some black reflective stickers on my lid, so obviously I am not completely against this type of thing.

However, there seems to be a trend towards more and more lighting. Some led running lights on cars are hyper bright. This is starting to become worse for me as they ruin my night vision and your focus gets locked in on just the lights around you. I suspect that a lot of people only see lights, which is why unlit pedestrians and any other hazard (deer etc) are such a suprise for them as they are literally being trained to look for only lights and reflectives.

I can only see this getting worse unfortunately...

Anything that gets you seen a little better at night must be a good thing eh.
Like the Idea of spraying on jackets , cars etc of workmates (The boss would be a good one) plonker
