kmx 125 is tappin from engine y its ticking over

any body help i drove 90 miles this morning to pick up my kmx 125 , the lad hu i bought it off started it it sounded okay , but when i got it home when its ticking over there is a tapping noise cumin from engine its not loud but u can here it , he said its had new piston n rings n top end bearings , any ideas what it cud be ? thanks in advance
