The full moon and mad people

Not sure if last night was actually a full moon but when I looked up it seemed pretty full.

My route home last night was from the city to North london, there were strange happenings, stranger than usual, people buzzing around, red light jumpers at every junction, suicide peds and psycho cyclists.

It felt like a Christmas eve.

Is there any scientific evidence that a full moon messes up folks brains and they get all craaaaaazy?

They'd be more likely to be about after dark looking for mischief since it's lighter - this hardly applies in towns now though.
Since the moon can move billions of tons of water in tides it is a powerful force.
Some natural events are linked to moon phases such as turtles hatching, and how long is it between menstruation cycles.

Maybe they were all on the rag.

It's the clocks changing. There's a spike in accidents twice a year around daylight savings. People forget how to drive at night and have to relearn suddenly, on a Monday.

Shirley the moon is always there... it's only the different relative position of the sun that makes a difference in how it looks...?

So why would a full moon affect behaviour at all - apart from the amount of light reflected there's no difference??

Or am i taking it all abit too seriously?

Half term? Quite a few mon-fri workers take the week off work and venture out at times other than the rush hour. When driving buses you had to have your wits about you during school holidays as although the rush hours had 75% less traffic in them, from about 10am to 10pm there'd be more nobbers in holiday mode dawdling around and road-raging at the slightest thing.

According to our 'Lunar Phase Ambassador' who, obviously, has a degree in something obscure and receives a salary of no less than double the starting salary of a student Police Officer [SPROG] this evening will see yet another full moon.

Despite the best efforts of a Bullshire Chief Inspector who was tasked with preventing this full moon, this evening is highly likely to result in cockwombles-a-plenty being cockwombles.

If you're unlucky enough to be working this Tuesday evening, we respectfully request you do your absolute best to stay safe.

Please Note: Whilst there are probably statistics to reveal a 'spike' in cockwombleness during full moons, no additional Bullshire Police Officers will be caused to work tonight. Once again, it's down to those on the thinning frontline. Sorry.

Covered a lot of miles on sunday, felt like a bank holiday, lots of confused drivers making stupid mistakes. Suspect it is related to half term.

Roads were quiet on monday night. Eerily so.
