I loved the page. Someone asked a stupid question about legalities and did not like my answer. It was a while ago, I cannot remember what the question was or my answer but the band wagon of "innit mush" jumped in and I was called a safety police and all sorts. It ended with one of them abusing the shit out of me and demanding I go play in traffic.

As irony has it, the following day, said abusive chav did indeed head out the night before and went and played in the traffic, seems the traffic won and of course the outpouring of grief for said idiot was pathetic. My reply that I wish him a speedy recovery but I have no sympathy as he was nothing but rude to me and karma seemed to have played her hand got removed from the page.

Cant think why.

This is a sweeping generalisation of mumsnet on 2 wheels aka real bikers nod.

They banned Silky for bantering and generally just being a bcfer

They probably attend biker nights on their "streetfightered" bandits

They probably all ride in jeans tucked into their boots

None of them will probably muster the kudos or cash to be riding in Arai or Alpinestars, yet call you a smug git for having a collection of said apparel!

They don't believe in pink powerbands

As a result, I call myself a motorcyclist to distinguish myself from those uncouth heathens!

I always used to join those groups optimistically, thinking "Oooo, new mates to ride with" (even some of the womens bike groups but oh dear, they don't like a jester, do they).

Eventually all those groups get up my nostrils big-time. Plus I discovered I hate riding with other people anyway

The only one of those I even bother with now is realbikernobs because that's just you guys anyway; even then I'm inclined to not bother much cos I am here more often.

And then there's the old fella's club page that someone added me to, I am one of the few women to have been added, but then I suppose it's only to be expected - but which is mostly full of men going "thanks for the add, bro, lots of love and kisses from (I dunno), e.g., Marcel in Brazil" (or some damn place I am fairly unlikely to go and admit to being a club-member's wifelet/WAG ) ... and they never talk to me anyway.

I think I am a member of a Sportster-owners group but they are not really into socialising online, more about swapping or finding parts for manky old Harleys. They mostly talk about shite I don't understand

Ugh, here's another thing with those "groups" that does my nut in:

I'm also a member of "I was born in Fulham" (alright, so I wasn't, but I lived there for ages, and Anita officially was, so I like to keep up with the news) ... and they do this "Good morning!" thing where someone posts a cheery picture of a sparkling gif of fairies or kittens or some fuckin thing, and everyone says good morning. Then everybody who's online at the same time at night does the same thing ...
