It's a quirk of brain chemistry. Now quit popping the microdots and get a real job, beatnik.

Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the “normal people” as they go about their automatic existences

Christ, if that fedora tips any further it's gonna capsize....

It's pretty easy really, either go comply with social norms or just not give a fuck. This special-snowflake "I'm not like the others, pat my head for being so unique" bullshit is just garbage.

You may have noticed, the people who really don't give a fuck, don't have this need to gush about how breaking-the-mould and no-fucks-given they are, they just get on with not giving a fuck. It's only attention-whores that are always chattering away with this self-indulgent faggotry.

I am especially fond of this bit.

I often wonder "Why did [this person] come into my life then, and what would my life be like if I had met them earlier/later"

If you have to ask "what puzzle" ... then getouttaheeeeerrrrrre Laughing

I suspect many religions were started by some charismatic junkie tripping balls after licking a toad or juicing a cactus or just being battier than a belfry.

Ascribing objective significance to your misfiring neurons in order to justify taking your next hit from the bong is no less sad when it's described as "expanding your consciousness" than when it's some frothing beardlamist raving about seeing angels.

All the LSD available in Britain in the 60's came from a 3g batch cooked up by Leary.

Most users reported overwhelmingly positive experiences. It gave us the psychedelia music movement.

With the exception of people taking huge doses "bad trips" didn't really start rearing their heads until the late 60's/early 70's after that batch ran out.

Interesting to note Timothy Leary, who probably took more LSD than any human being in history died in bed at the age of 75 of prostate cancer.
