I bought some marking blue off amazon but it stays wet and just gets everywhere. What's a brand that dries on the metal?

Dykem is good but not cheap, are you sure you did not but Engineers Blue instead?

He almost certainly did.

For marking out on metal I just use permanent marker and scribe through that. Works fine for me.

That is what i do, no chance of knocking it over and £25 worth of Dykem will last you ten lifetimes (unless you knock it over).

A blue permanent marker was what I use as it dries quickly and is easily replaced if the felt nib goes dry.
