Hello folks.
Long time lurker, first time poster
I'm the happy owner of a CBF 125, I'll be taking my theory this Thursday, hopefully the mod 1 & 2 next summer.
I'm looking at changing the sprockets on my CBF. Finances being what they are I'm going to have to keep this bike for at least 5 years after passing my test. So I'd like to get a smoother top end out of her (60mph is more than fast enough for me, thank you).
I can't seem to find out what the standard sprocket set is for it. Since its second hand I'm not sure whether the previous owner has modded it or not, so I don't want to spend money without checking first.
Also, what are the legalities around sports exhausts on urban roads?

You want lower revs? Standard appears to be 16 / 42, so try a JTF 1264 17 tooth sprocket - if it fits under the sprocket cover.

Don't use anything that's showing (note, showing) "not for road use".
Don't admit to anything. If it becomes an issue, invite Dibble to test it, and not using his earballs. I'd be astonished if there are any facilities in the country to do so. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
