Sony waterproof phone range (upgrade from Z1). (Z3, M5?)

Upgrade time on my phone has rolled around, currently had an xperia Z1 for the last 2 years. Replacement must be waterproof.

I have no real want or need for the latest and greatest phones unless they offer something particularly above the rest, but I would like to upgrade from the Z1, as the current phone will go to my mum.

Any recommendations for an upgrade?

Happy to go for the M series phones rather than Z if there is reason for it. Absolute upper limit is £50 a month but would rather a chunk less. Current toss up is between Z3 and Z5, not really looked at how the M5 compares to the Z3, or Z1 for that matter.

What say you? Happy to consider something other than Sony if it also offers proper waterproof ability.

Z5 is the latest and greatest but the z3 still has decent spec. Is the M5 available in this country? It looked 90% as good as the Z5 but a good bit cheaper - probably why they decided not to sell it here, us Britons love paying more for stuff.

I've got a Z1 and my contact is up for renewal early next year, the Z5 is great and would be an option if it wasn't for the lack of wireless charging. Thumbs Down

There's a Z5 and ps4 bundle I could potentially be interested in, but it's through 3, having seen the issues my OH has had with 3 I'd rather not!

Not sure if the M5 is here, I just assumed so! It looks to be a fair bit better than the Z3 on paper at least.

Popped up on bookface earlier, think it was £120 off of the ps4 when you get a Z5 or something.

I'll see If I can find it again, I didn't actually check any of the details of it.

i bought the m4 aqua?? a few weeks ago,
pretty happy with it, battery life is a solid 2 days.
camera is good, more than fast enough for me

would have been better with dual speakers, a larger internal memory,
and dual led flash.

cost £179 from carphone warehouse unlocked to any network

pretty good value for money
