Ultrasonic Cleaner Repair - Help Needed

So the cleaner I got all excited about getting won't power up

I found this thread where this bloke repairs his control board on the same cleaner after the joints on the flexible PCB had delaminated. I checked out mine, it's not rotten like his but I did find a tear on the switch for the temp control...would this stop it powering up though? I did connect everything up loosely and pushed the broken wire together to test but it still wouldn't power up. I don't think I did it when dismantling as I was really careful. Is it worth getting repaired if it's something else?

Disply/Control PCB, (sits inside the cleaner behind the flexi control panel, the back of this is a bit grimey and sme of the connection ends are slightly corroded:-

The rest of the cleaner, from what I can make out, the transducers don't appear to be damaged, the brown "rusty" looking stuff in the connecters is actualy sealent :-

That tear on the switch needs fixing, obviousy.

Are F1 and F2 ok?

Start with the basics - is mains definitely getting to the PSU board? Do you get AC out of the transformer? Is there DC supply to the voltage regulator? DC output from the voltage regulator? Is 5VDC present at the feed to the switch panel?

Be very careful poking around in there, most use a very high voltage. I looked at making one of my own and the transducers needed 600v to work effectively.
