That tear on the switch needs fixing, obviousy.

Are F1 and F2 ok?

Start with the basics - is mains definitely getting to the PSU board? Do you get AC out of the transformer? Is there DC supply to the voltage regulator? DC output from the voltage regulator? Is 5VDC present at the feed to the switch panel?

Be very careful poking around in there, most use a very high voltage. I looked at making one of my own and the transducers needed 600v to work effectively.
