There's been a few 30 second warnings on the daily propaganda show news this evening about chaos and unwarranted disruption.

The media has kept it as quiet as possible, but it does seem to be a step away from the BTN.

If I was in London, I would have joined in the fun.

So the torched police car and hospitalised coppers are 'fun', yes? Was there actually a defining motive to all this, or just "I don't like the status quo, and this mass-produced film merchandise makes me feel empowered!" mixed in with a bit of aimless milling about and property damage?

Possibly the most retarded 'protest' going, that was. This Anonymous bandwagon is just painful to behold at this point.

£500 ski jacket is an easy target and doesn't really add much to any argument other than "expensive coat M'kay".

I'd rather see somebody pay for a £500 jacket where the people making it got a fair wage, than somebody wearing a £5 primark jacket, made by people getting pennies an hour.

In fact - since when did coming from a wealthy background mean you can't stand up for the rights of those who don't have money?

I have no idea of the motives or background of said coat wearer, but making assumptions based on his coat is just retarded.

They're not standing up for the rights of those who don't have money, they're there for a fight with the police.

Such people are ready to fight for any cause as long as there's a good chance of a ruck with the police.

Student fees? yeah whatever, fite me
Million mask something or other? sounds cool, fite me

Don't get me wrong, I doubt half of the people actually knew why they were there, other than a chance to wear a mask and feel like they're doing something. One of my favourite things to do is wind up my OHs friends for exactly that reason.

I'm just making the point that picking out somebody based on their coat rather than the fact they're clearly smashing up a Police car doesn't make any sense.

I’m a leftie but this is merely a trendy bandwagon, organised by people on Facebook and such with their Apple iPhones whilst wearing masks from a film which made Warner Brothers £50m.

There might be a few genuinely well meaning people but the majority are hypocrites, plus a few tag alongs who only want to smash a few things up.

Laughing

He wasn't picked out because of his coat.

I expect there are plenty of other people in the crowd wearing clothes of a similar value yet nobody pays any attention to those people.

The only reason mr ski jacket was picked out is because he was smashing up a police car. There would still be photos of him in the press regardless of what jacket he was wearing.

I can not be sympathetic to a cause where people think its a fun and banter to lob fireworks at horses or Police. I kicked seven bells of shit out of a protester once who threw down a whole load of marbles under a police horse. Hurt an animal for kicks in front of me and you are going to get thumped.

At some point im going to have to realise im getting too old for this kind of thing, Im hoping ive got a few more years of middle age anger left in me before my antics leave me at risk of fracturing a hip.

So the torched police car

was definitely staged.

A POLICE CAR on fire in the centre of the UK capital, and a dozen media photographers get there before a single copper or fireman can? And the two protesters continue to smash it to bits with 20 cameras pointed at them?

Sorry but it stinks.

They did similar at the 2010 G20 in Canada. Left police cars to burn, forced the entire protest off the street so the place was desolate, then let national media in to get all the best shots.

https://topdocumentaryfilms.com/toronto-g20-exposed/

The UK isn't immune to such tactics either.

Absolute bollocks, a smear campaign against legitimate protest.

EDIT: Here you go:

Towing a police car through London, then dumping it on a street with double-yellow lines... standard police practice?

''the V mask is itself a copyrighted product. Every time that Rubies sells one – for $6.49, £5.16 or €10.50 – a cut of the profit goes to Warner Bros, which made the film. That's Warners as in one of Hollywood's six big studios''

Down with capitalism!

facebook is a pretty leftist platform so these sort of things do seep through on to my timeline, but i'm yet to know what the reason is for the protest other than down with the government that 11 million people voted in against the 9 million that labour got? and then what is the alternative?

Protest for protest's sake, at least when the farmers/ haulier firms wanted tony blair to cut fuel duty, they shut the country down via the fuel protests, i suppose outing a few dirty old men on Ashley Madison and naming a few kkk members will really put the jeepers up the establishment.

God damn those student fee's that you don't pay back until you have benefited enough from your degree to earn over 20k to pay back a tuppence, god damn those bankers that are propping up our economy because we are soo uncompetitive against the rest of the world to do anything else except services.

God damn those bankers who were propped up to the tune of several billion (or did it reach a trillion?) pounds when their industry caved in on itself, and god damn this country for being so uncompetitive against the rest of the world in anything except the service industry. God damn our other industries for not being bailed out, propped up or boosted in any way like the banking sector was.

(But yes I agree the V for Vendetta masks are completely ridiculous)

And, to make matters worse, they towed it there FOUR YEARS AGO! That's a lot of advanced planning that went into making the protestors look bad!

Such bastardry - taking up a double-yellow line spot for four years? I bet the coppers were gay immigrants, too.
