In coverage of the trial of DJ Neil Fox for paedo/sex pestery, the term "snog-rape" has appeared.

It's a new one on me, and for the more imaginative among you, it refers to face on face activity, not something else! It's the unwelcome intrusion of a slobbery tongue while engaged what began as a consensual kiss.

Really? Is it just me or does this not only demean more violent or intrusive sexual assault but also why is it even led to a criminal charge? (He has been charged with more serious stuff as well as this)

Is that just some phrase coined by the press? I'd wager it's assault - but then if you've been to tech conferences you'd have come across "barcode-rape" and other such trivialisations of a heinous act.
