Hi guys, been lurking for a little while now, thought it best to introduce myself!

Im 20, passed my A2 license at the start of September & am currently riding a Gladius after learning to ride on one, super easy to ride & great whilst I'm on the restricted license.

Looking forward to doing some touring next year having been all over Europe by car...

Are there any of you guys around Worcester?

Welcome to here. The Gladius are a great first bike. We have 2 of them in the yard. They surprised us when we got our first, we were so impressed we got another.

Seat is horrid though.

Congrats on the pass and enjoy the Gladius. I passed cat A in early Sept and got one as well after riding them during training. I sat on a few other bikes, but preferred this - pretty upright and the legs and feet seem to fit right.

As Pinky says, the seat isn't so great - can get uncomfortable after an hour or so. I'm going to be researching the options over the winter.

The wind blast can get a bit much at higher speeds, but I fitted a Powerbronze screen that's designed for the bike (Powerbronze Light, fits onto the tops of the forks rather than clamps to the handlebar). That and earplugs have transformed it at motorway speeds.

If you find the stock exhaust a bit tame, try an Ixil Hyperlow end can. Cheaper than most, well made, road legal. Nice bark when downshifting, and throaty under load at low revs, but not really obtrusive when cruising along. Looks much better as well if you like the idea of a short dinky can with twin outlets.

+1 on the seat, I found the training school bike really uncomfortable after around an hour, but my bike is an 09 model with 20k on the clock and the seat seems a lot more comfortable, done 180 miles in a day and found it ok.

Nomad - got a great deal when I bought it, came with 2 screens, a small fly screen and a much bigger touring screen, as well as belly pan, de cat exhaust with carbon end can - sounds fantastic!

Reading all the rave reviews of the MT-07, I lulzed a bit because pretty much the exact same things had been said a few years previously about the Gladius.
