Good luck with the journey. How long is it going to take? Why to go as far south as Iran? Not the fastest road route to South Korea for sure.

If it was the quickest route via Russia/Mongolia and assuming you doing 300 miles a day on average it would take you about 3 weeks to get to Korea.

I will be in South Korea in summer 2016.. My holiday is way too short to ride there by bike though Wink

We're planning to heading down to Jeju after Seoul, so maybe a get a bike and join us!?

As for planning, we've left 6 weeks to get there (should cover days off, breakdowns and the odd scenic route) and planning to leave mid July.
Planning is definitely at its initial phase, hence the itinerary. Above is what Google maps recommended and was a bit alarmed about travelling so close to Isis!

Potentially go through Ukraine and off-road in Kazakhstan and Mongolia instead?

All suggestions welcome :)

I'd be interested. But it's the planning of this type of thing that always puts me off! Set up a WhatsApp group and PM me the number maybe? Could be a good way to plan something.

I'd love to do it but 6 weeks is the wrong time frame for me, too long for a holiday but too short to quit work, rent my house ect. If I did that I'd rather take my time a bit more and do it over at least a few months. Good luck.
