Ive recently found out I have 10 days of holiday allowance to use in jan/feb/march. I was thinking of going traveling but to be honest im not sure where to go or what the weather is likley to be. Obviously if I were to go over to europe then id want to book travel in advance to save money.

Cheers
John

stinkwheel Well I just had my hands up a pigs fanny. Which makes your concerns pale into insignificance.

In fairness, it's probably sold out by now but they often do day tickets if you know someone who already has a ticket and can direct you to it via the control point.

Of course, at the end of said day, it's dark...

No one hat fit's all heads.

So how much have you to spend? what type of bike are you using? At that time of the year and with what I can see that's two week's worth of holiday. Me I would go south. Get in to France and make your way in-to the sun. Booking places to stay in-advance, only set where you are going. Book the first two nights on the net. As you'll have an idea where you are going. Then it's a case of play it by ear.

The weather is not going to be great, but a lot better than the UK. Could get some rain, so wet kit I would pack. As for cooking kit. Food is cheap enough where ever you are. It's a toss up between space to carry and what you can pick up on the road. Me I never take cooking kit. But I do tend to pack too much clothes.

It will work out all right in the end. Your first day out. You will be thinking what are you doing, and what will happen. Last day back your thought's will be. Is it all over, I could of stayed longer.

Any way wish you well in what ever you do.
